Brett Jenkinson
Optometrist | BOptom FAAO GradCertOcTherBrett is the Optometrist at Davey and Associates.
Brett completed his Bachelor of Optometry degree at Melbourne University, graduating
in 2001. His first job was with Laubman & Pank Optometrists in Kingaroy.
While there, he met his wife, Carmen. They were married in 2004 and moved to Hobart
for a fresh start in 2006.
In Hobart, Brett became the youngest partner of the largest locally-owned Optometry
group, Total Eyecare. He took an active role in the Optometry Association and became
Tasmanian President in 2012.
Also while in Hobart, Brett became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and
completed his Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics, allowing him to prescribe
optical medicines.
In November 2017 Brett was appointed to the Board of Directors of ProVision, a national
member organisation supporting over 400 independent optometrists.
Brett shares his time between a practice in suburban Brisbane and Davey and
Associates in Maroochydore.
During his career, Brett has developed a keen interest in contact lenses, orthokeratology
(overnight contact lenses for short-sightedness that allow lens-free daytime vision) and
in particular found a challenge in complex cornea and contact lens fitting. More recently,
he has been taking post graduate study in children’s vision.

Pam Dreyer
Optometrist | Dip. Optom F.O.A (SA) CASPam is a fully qualified optometrist. She has been in practice since 1981, having graduated with a Diploma of Optometry and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Ocular Disease.
Her particular interests are in Aged care and children’s Vision.
Pam became an optometrist 40 years ago because she enjoyed the idea of working with a combination of people, science and medicine. She is rewarded with the satisfaction gained by providing people with clear and comfortable vision in their lives. She loves music, playing piano, renovating, reading and puzzles, as well as spending time with family.

Jackie Prentice
Optometrist | BOptom (Hons), CertOcTher (ACO), CertAdvCL (ACO)Jackie obtained her optometry degree in New Zealand and has worked in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia since 2001.
Jackie is passionate about giving the best eye care to all her patients. Her interests include ocular health, contact lenses and orthokeratolgy.
Jackie has completed postgraduate training in both ocular therapeutics and advanced contact lenses (rigid gas permeables, minisclerals and orthokeratology).
Jackie used to compete in triathlon at an elite level, however she has now found a new passion for surfing and snowboarding.

Sophie Wellington
Optometrist | BMedSc(VisSc), MOptomSophie graduated in 2019 as a therapeutically endorsed Optometrist from Flinders University in South Australia. Sophie has a keen interest in managing ocular pathology, managing dry eye patients and speciality contact lenses, in particular Orthokeratology fittings for myopia control.
After graduating from University Sophie moved to the Sunshine Coast looking for a sea change and hasn’t looked back since. Outside of work, she enjoys keeping active, spending time in the ocean and exploring what the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
